Abstract: The presentation titled " Sensor technology for multiple greenhouse robots " delves into recent trends in greenhouse robotics, which emphasize collaborative functionality and multiple capabilities. To meet these demands, the focus lies on the development of innovative sensors, particularly positioning systems, and fluorescent imaging-based methods for greenhouse robots. The presentation offers a comprehensive review of greenhouse robot advancements in Japan, summarizing the recent trends in this rapidly evolving field.

To facilitate the efficient operation of multiple greenhouse robots, a novel sound-based positioning system boasting centimeter-level accuracy was devised. This technology aims to enhance coordination and synchronization among robots, ultimately optimizing their collaborative efforts within the greenhouse environment. Furthermore, the presentation introduces fluorescent imaging-based sensing methods, which hold immense promise for plant phenotyping and quality inspection of agricultural products. By leveraging this low-cost and effective approach, greenhouse robots can attain multi-functional capabilities, spanning a wide range of applications within the agricultural setting.

Overall, this presentation sheds light on sensor technologies that are propelling the development of greenhouse robots, paving the way for more sophisticated and integrated agricultural automation systems. The incorporation of these advanced sensor technologies is poised to revolutionize greenhouse operations, boosting productivity, and fostering sustainable agriculture practices.
